The Upper Crusts : Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Baroness Margaret Thatcher (1979-1990) and Sir John Major (1990-1997) come from the same Crust family of Lincolnshire farmers
Baroness Margaret Thatcher and Sir John Major are fifth cousins once removed. Margaret is my fourth cousin once removed and John is my sixth cousin. Our common ancestors are John Crust and his wife Elizabeth Coxon. The name CRUST means "hard and stubborn". This relationship was first reported in Family Tree Magazine, March 1992 entitled "The Upper Crusts" by Michael J Wood.
